BTS Manual: Mission Tutorial

Time Limit

All missions have a time limit. Currently it is set to 15 minutes.

Destroy Enemy Units

Your mission is to destroy all enemy units. Victory occurs when all the enemy units have been destroyed or have fled. Failure occurs when time runs out and all the enemy units have not been destroyed or fled.

It is possible for for both sides to gain a failure condition, but only one can gain a victory condition.

Secondary Mission

Destroying all enemy units is also a secondary mission for the other mission types. Successfuly destroying all the enemy units automatically provides victory conditions for the primary mission as long as the primary mission has not already been failed.

Destroy/Defend Target

Offense

Your mission is to destroy the selected target. It may be a single object or multiple objects. Victory occurs when all of the target objects are destroyed.

Defense

Your mission is to defend the selected target. It may be a single object or multiple objects. Victory occurs when time runs out with half of the targets still surviving. Failure occurs when over half the targets have been destroyed.

It is possible for for both sides to gain a failure condition, but only one can gain a victory condition.

Extract/Protect Target

Offense

You mission is to find and pickup the target. Victory occurs when the target is dropped off within 125 meters of your original navpoint. Failure occurs when time runs out or if the target is destroyed.

Defense

Your mission is to keep the attackers from delivering the target to their navpoint. Victory occurs when time runs out and the target is not within 125 meters of the attackers navpoint. Failure occurs when the target "escapes" or if it is destroyed. You are not able to pick the target up. When a unit carrying the target is destroyed, the target is ejected from the destroyed unit.

It is possible for for both sides to gain a failure condition, but only one can gain a victory condition.

Identify Target

Offense

Your mission is to identify the targets before they are destroyed. Victory occurs when the targets are identified. Failure occurs if the targets are destroyed before identification.

Defense

Your mission is to defend the target. Victory occurs when time runs out and the targets are not destroyed. Failure occurs when half of the targets are destroyed.

It is possible for for both sides to gain a victory condition as well as both sides to gain a failure condition.
